Hi parents!
Q2 is here already and I'm excited about our themes. This quarter, we will be communicating around the topics of family and leisure which offer great contextual opportunities this time of year. Students in levels III-H and AP will begin using FreshGrade electronic portfolios to document some of their learning experiences. Let me know if you have questions or need assistance viewing their amazing work ;-).

Dear Parents,
Hola! (This means "hello" in Spanish :-) It is a pleasure to have your child in my Spanish class. I will communicate with you through your child (notes home), by phone, and this website. Also, please feel free to email me with any questions/concerns ([email protected]). It is only through working together that our student will achieve his or her highest potential and be able to achieve success. You can access helpful information about how to help your language learner by clicking here.
"Tarea" is the Spanish word for homework. Whenever your student sees or hears that word --- that means HOMEWORK :-)! Please check and make sure your child finishes all assigned work. For this class, homework may consist of oral (via message phone) or written assignments, including postings to the blog on this site. In addition, be on the lookout for "proyectos" or "projects." There will be 1 - 2 projects assigned each quarter and must be turned in by the "Final day to turn in." After that date, projects are NOT accepted. You can find our syllabus and schedule for the quarter under the "PLAN DE CURSO" tab in the navigation menu.
Finally, for students who would like additional assistance, I offer tutoring on Thursdays from 2:15p - 3:15p. Students must arrive by 2:20p.
As you review our syllabus, schedule, and policies, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Again, thank you for the privilege of teaching your child, and I look forward to meeting you very soon.
Sinceramente,
Dr. Brown
